"Répérage" é o termo utilizado para nos referirmos à identificação e selecção do local certo para realizar um evento.

Na organização de um festival de cinema ao ar livre, um dos passos mais críticos é precisamente a escolha do local. O Overland-IN procura um conceito que se alimenta do efeito de surpresa, ampliado pela grandiosidade e singularidade dos locais onde se desenvolve. Esse é o caso do sítio onde será o "drive-in".

Uma "film commission", entre outras capacidades, faz uso do seu conhecimento local e regional das pessoas e pontos que cumprem os requisitos do organizador de eventos. Aquelas características todas que estão na nossa cabeça quando se idealiza um conceito para o evento, ganham corpo e materializam-se graças ao seu trabalho.

O João Antero, responsável da "Alentejo & Ribatejo Film Commission" (ARFC), trabalhou com o Overland-IN para estabelecer os contactos certos, interpretando bem as necessidades do projecto. O resultado foi um contacto certeiro com o município de Grândola, depois de explorar vários, até chegar ao ideal.

As competências das "film commissions" não se esgotam na répérage, estendendo-se ao apoio na preparação de apoios logísticos e financeiros, na procura de produtores executivos nacionais, no apoio à pré-produção, na tradução de guiões, obtenção de licenças e pagamento de taxas, no apoio com a comunicação social e na criação de actividades para os tempos livres das equipas destacadas da produção. Algumas destas linhas de serviços são remuneradas, enquanto outras — como o estabelecimento de contactos e identificação de locais, no nosso caso — são graciosas, tudo para honrar a missão destas organizações que promovem Portugal, criando condições favoráveis para que o nosso território ganhe visibilidade no grande, pequeno e — agora, também — micro ecrã.

In organizing an open-air film festival, one of the most critical steps is precisely the choice of the venue. Overland-IN seeks a concept that feeds on the effect of surprise, amplified by the grandeur and uniqueness of the places where it develops. This is the case for the place where the drive-in will be.

The Film Commission, among other capabilities, makes use of its local and regional knowledge of the people and points that meet the requirements of the event planner. Those characteristics that are all in our head when a concept for the event is idealized, take shape and materialize thanks to your work.

João Antero, responsible for the Alentejo & Ribatejo Film Commission (ARFC), works with Overland-IN to establish the right contacts, interpreting the needs of the project well. The result was a close contact with the municipality of Grândola, after exploring several, until reaching the ideal.

The competencies of the Film Commissions are not limited to the repérage, extending to support in the preparation of logistical and financial support, in the search for national executive producers, in support of pre-production, in the translation of scripts, obtaining licenses and paying fees, in the support with the media and in the creation of activities for the spare time of the distinguished production teams. Some of these service lines are remunerated, while others - such as establishing contacts and identifying places, in our case - are gracious, all to honor the mission of these organizations that promote Portugal, creating favorable conditions for our territory to gain visibility in the big, small and — now, too — tiny screens.
