Pomos o pé na areia da restinga de Tróia e apenas saímos dela na lagoa de Melides, 45 quilómetros depois, coleccionando inúmeros pontos únicos — Tróia-mar, Galé, Bico das Lulas, Atlântica, Pego, Carvalhal, Aberta Nova, Comporta, Melides — fora aqueles que, sem nome, nos remetem para o imaginário de ilhas desertas paradisíacas.

...In a new Alentejo reinvented between the mountains, the mountain, and the beach, Grândola is full of secrets and small wonders.
We set foot in the sand of the Tróia sandbank to halt only at Melides Lagoon, 30 miles later, collecting numerous unique points — Tróia-mar, Galé, Bico das Lulas, Atlântica, Pego, Carvalhal, Aberta Nova, Comporta, Melides — not considering those which, nameless, take us to the imaginary of paradisiacal desert islands.
Assim é a costa do concelho de Grândola, a extensão contínua de areal em praia maior do país e a 3.ª maior do mundo.
Mas a pouca distância para o interior surgem os bosques e montados que oferecem a tranquilidade dos dias indolentes, aquecidos pelo sol que nos adormece ao som dos pássaros e da brisa morna que nos embalam.
Esta é a envolvência que Grândola oferecerá aos participantes do Overland-IN, acompanhada da hospitalidade de quem gosta de receber.
Thus is the coast of Grândola, the largest continuous stretch of sandy beach in the country and the 3rd largest in the world.
But, just a short distance into the mainland, there are forests and "montes" that offer the tranquility of indolent days, warmed by the sun that sleeps us with the sound of birds and the warm breeze that lull us.
These are the surroundings Grândola will offer to Overland-IN participants, accompanied by the hospitality of those who like to receive.
